University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz (Akademia Nauk Stosowanych w Nowym Sączu) is a state college established by the Polish government order on June 16, 1998 as one of the first schools of this type in Poland. It is located in the charming town of Nowy Sącz, in the beautiful mountainous area of Southern Poland. The students can find their specialization among the subjects offered by the six faculties.

Full-time studies at University of Applied Sciences in Nowy Sącz are free. ANS also offers part-time (weekend) study programs, as well as postgraduate studies. After 3 years the graduates are awarded either a licencjat diploma (Bachelor of Arts degree) or after 3.5 years - an engineering diploma (Bachelor of Science degree). Graduates may then work in their chosen profession as well as pursue master degree studies and post-graduate programs. Since 2012 the university has been offering second-cycle studies (Master degree) in the field of Economic and business organization; Nursing; Pedagogy; Production Engineering and Management; Mechatronics, Informatics. The university also has master's (5-year) studies in the fields of Physiotherapy as well as Pre-school and Early School Education.
