The Alanya excursions multilingual staff will do their best to make you feel at home throughout the entire duration of your trip.
Alanya is located in the south of the country on the Turkish Riviera and makes a great spot for summer vacation. The town’s castle is perched on a small peninsula that stretches into the Mediterranean Sea and is surrounded by two sandy beaches. Keykubat beach is on the east side of the peninsula and Kleopatra beach stretches along the west side of the peninsula. The town’s location in the Mediterranean Basin (a subtropical zone of high air pressure) makes local summers long, hot, and dry. Most of the rainfall comes during the winter months. The Alanya board of tourism nicknames the town as a place “Where The Sun Smiles.”
The climate in Alanya is very mild all year round, but if you are a beach holiday type, you should visit during the period starting in April and lasting until the end of October, sometimes even until mid-November. These are the driest as well as the warmest months. There is almost no rainfall during the summer months and the seawater warms up to an amazing 28 centigrade.
For international travellers, the easiest way to get to Alanya is from Antalya International Airport. The distance between the airport and Alanya is 121km and the journey takes about two hours. Another option is Gazipasa Airport, which is only 14.5km away from the town and the trip takes about 30 minutes. There is a frequent and inexpensive bus service that connects either of the airports with the town. You can also consider a stress-free journey from the airport by taxi with a drop-off right at the doorstep of your accommodation facility.
The best way to explore around the town is on foot, however, strolling around is not comfortable on hot summer days during July and August. To escape the sizzling heat, you can rent yourself an e-scooter or e-bike. There is also a cheap Dolmush service with stops at ‘nearly every corner’ of the town.
Bathing is an inseparable part of the local culture and leaving Turkey without trying it wouldn’t feel quite right. The Hammam procedure usually includes a bath, sauna, menthol scented steam room, pilling, and foam massage. Eventually, you take a rest in a relaxation room with a cup of Turkish tea or coffee.
Alanya Excursions Tip: The best way to relax after a long journey is to undergo Hammam on the day of your arrival in Alanya.
