I'm new to zimbra.
so, I deployed zimbra server on AWS and binded a static ip to it, I have purchased domain from godaddy, and added dns record accordingly.(which will be shared below)
I'm able to send mails to local users but cannot if I mail to google proton yahoo or any other, I have configured ssl, the logs are just fine there is no error, firewall rules are allowed to send all type of traffic,
even I'm able to receive mails from google (any other as well) but unable to send mail to gmail or anything else...
can anybody help me why it is happening ? or I'm missing something?
if there is anything I need to share further for solution, I can...
scrolled the internet but couldn't get anything.

A user is unable to access his account

Checking logs , i found the following error in mailbox.log

2023-01-17 16:12:23,166 ERROR [qtp2011482127-27018://localhost:8080/service/soap/BatchRequest] account - can't get profile image id : system failure: fetching folder data for mailbox 858

I tried to re-index the account but still the same

Also found below in mailbox.log

2023-01-17 01:10:39,744 INFO [MailboxPurge] [name=username@domain-name;mid=858;] purge - Purging messages.
2023-01-17 01:10:39,749 WARN [MailboxPurge] [name=username@domain-name;mid=858;] purge - Unable to purge mailbox 858

Any solution ?

I have a multi server environment, with 2mtas and two mailboxes, since some day ago one on mtas display from web admin mail queue on one mta, but other mta work perfects

When you use refresh buton no mail showed on mail queue view

It is strange because active is hsoed but not deferred.

Any suggestion where is the issue?

I have to set a lot of users and mailboxes on a Zimbra server to ReadOnly. It could also be done by domain (so whole domain as R/O).
So the users should still be able to read his emails but not delete, move or create new ones.

Would be great, if a mail comes to (from other domain on the same server), send back any message that it can not be answered.

I have found posts about zmmailbox but it only seems to work for shared mailboxes.
Any other ideas?

Since the two mail domains a.com and b.com should now run on different servers, I did a full clone of the Zimbra mail server vm and renamed the second instance to mail.b.com.
Now, the mail-domain a.com is served from server mail.a.com, while the mail domain b.com is served by mail.b.com. I can send and receive emails from both mail servers for their mail-domain, but I can't send anything from a.com to b.com and vice versa. This is kind of expected, since mail.a.com still has the domain b.com configured in Zimbra, including all accounts and the same thing is true for the other / cloned system but the other way around.

Question: What is required to let mail.a.com forget about the domain b.com and send mails out that is targeting this domain?
I have tried to disable the domain in the Zimbra Administration portal, but that seems not to be enough. Do I have to delete the domain? If so: Do I have to remove all accounts assigned to this domain in order to do this?

ZCO for Zimbra 9.0.0 Patch 28 fixed ZBUG-2984 (Intermittently, Outlook would not sync emails with large metadata.) has reduced the problem a lot, but not eliminated it. We are still getting sync errors in ZCO that seem to be related to various calendar events such as invitations, reminders, etc.

Does anyone else share this experience with ZCO and Outlook 365?

Actually quite simple. Mailboxes in a text file, "while"-loop and then:

The Problem is, that I found the exports are not complete. At one mailbox I made 8 exports and was never be the same tgz size. Two times was really near (5GB +-5kB). All others: 200MB, 500MB, 1.4GB, 1.5, 1.6, 4.7GB. Always "succesfully exported" (exitcode=0).
What should I do that I can be sure that all emails are actually in there?
Should/can I just set the server to "ReadOnly" for a certain time? Maybe when the user is doing something in the mailbox, it breaks?

I solved my issue with the help of this post

that's I added the line "$inet_socket_bind = '127.0.0.1';" in "/opt/zimbra/conf/amavisd.conf"

But
1) I don't understand since this line was not present in my previous config
2) the amavisd.conf is rewritten by ? without this line and every time I have to restart zimbra I have to add this line !
